Hear My Voice
A Textile Art Exhibition
Discover powerful, unexpected artworks revealing the layered histories of women whose lives are woven into the fabric of West Horsley Place.
We’re proud to launch our first creative partnership with the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham. Hear My Voice is a series of textile art installations throughout the manor house and gardens, created in response to the hidden and forgotten stories of women at West Horsley Place.
Renowned artists including Beverley Ayling-Smith, Anne Jackson, Alice Kettle, Carol Quarini, and Japanese artist Machiko Agano will bring these unheard voices to life. The project is curated by Professor Lesley Millar, Professor Alice Kettle, and WHP’s Clare Clinton.
how to see the exhibition
Hear My Voice will be showing in the manor house and walled garden during Aug, Sept and Oct.
The artworks can be enjoyed by visitors who are attending an event in the manor house during that time period. The best way to enjoy the exhibition is to visit us on an open day or guided tour.
